Joyful Souls was started in 1995 by Rodgers Mpinganjira as a church group, but has grown over the years, recording their first album in 2005 and a second in May 2009. The group sings acapella, with six-part harmonies and mouth percussions. They have received a very good response performing their albums throughout the world, with a positive response on MySpace and Facebook.
