Martha Mituka was raised in a Christian family and started singing at a very tender age in her school choir, forming a quartet while at secondary school. Martha later married singer Mituka, who worked with her to record their first album in 1998. In December 1999 they recorded another album.
Through her hard work, she was advised her to record her own album in 2005, and her band director paid her studio fees. In November 2006 she launched her the album and became popular, holding shows at places like Sunbird Captial Hotel. She was chosen to perform at the French Cultural Centre in Blantyre through Music Crossroads, organized by MAPA AFRICA.
